Jeremy Jacobs
SENIOR ADVISOR
Jeremy believes in the power of effective communications to shape business outcomes, especially in moments of transformation and existential challenge. He takes a holistic perspective to ensure that internal and external stakeholders are addressed with consistent messaging, tailored to their needs and delivered by the most effective means.
For over 25 years, Jeremy has counseled C-suite executives and corporate boards in time-sensitive, high-stakes situations. He has helped hundreds of companies across industries and borders communicate both friendly and hostile M&A transactions. He has extensive experience helping companies prepare for possible shareholder activism, engage productively with activist shareholders, defend against them privately and publicly, and fight and win acrimonious proxy contests. He has also advised company founders and founding family members on successful campaigns for boardroom change.
Before embarking on a career in strategic communications, Jeremy taught English literature and writing at the University of Pittsburgh and served as the assistant editor for a leading scholarly journal. A focus on the written word remains at the heart of all his work: he has authored numerous articles under his own byline and those of colleagues and clients, overseen thought leadership programs for clients and agencies, and been credited by peers as improving every document he’s ever touched.
A proud cat dad and a voracious reader, Jeremy is certain that he has both too many and not enough of both books and cats. He is an avid traveler, an enthusiastic outdoor cook, and an obsessive player of video games, word puzzles, and historical simulation games.
