Cari is an accomplished C-suite executive with decades of experience helping global corporations navigate crises and high-stakes situations of all kinds, including litigations, regulatory investigations and matters with US and foreign governments, financial risks, product liability issues, sensitive human capital and employment matters, commercial transactions, compliance issues, restructuring and distressed situations, governance, issues of physical security, and cybersecurity and data privacy threats and incidents. She understands the importance of developing and deploying a durable narrative to protect and enhance value and reputation in the context of complex issue resolution.

Cari combines her expertise as a litigator who worked at a multinational law firm and served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York with experience gained through Assistant General Counsel and General Counsel roles at IBM and Revlon, respectively to provide informed and strategic guidance to her clients.

Cari is a frequent speaker on topics including crisis and risk management, strategic communications strategy, AI and big data, cybersecurity, corporate governance, compliance, corruption and investigations, leadership and business transformation.


  • Investigated and prosecuted federal and criminal matters and tried cases and argued appeals before the U.S. District Court, SDNY and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals, NY

    Managed IBM’s worldwide corporate litigation matters, including close supervision and direction of important trials and resolution of pre-litigation disputes in all areas of IBM’s business

    Created and led team of lawyers and investigators to conduct regulatory, internal, and cybersecurity investigations at IBM

    Handled and resolved matters with US and foreign regulators relating to FCPA, revenue recognition, and fraud

    Successfully resolved complex litigations at IBM and Revlon in areas including fraud, negligence, intellectual property, product liability, sensitive employment disputes, and commercial contract disputes

    As General Counsel, led Revlon through a material weakness in company’s financial controls and secured dismissal of related class action with no damages incurred

    Advised Revlon senior management on litigation, human capital matters, bankruptcy, M&A, refinancing, regulatory, compliance, physical security, governance, cybersecurity, and data privacy matters

    Advised a pharmaceutical company in connection with an FDA investigation

    Provided counsel to a global private company in connection with multi-district product liability litigation

    Supported a non-profit foundation in connection with ground-breaking U.S.S.Ct. jurisprudence

    Advised an international public company in connection with various financial and restructuring disclosures
